Greenville at a Glance

Located among the Blue Ridge Mountains in the northwest corner of South Carolina and situated on I-85, about halfway between Atlanta and Charlotte, Greenville is a natural meeting place for travelers. Greenville's business and economic growth over the last decade has brought such international corporations as Michelin and BMW, among a total of 245 international companies to the Upstate. 380,000 people reside in Greenville County, with 1,000,000 in the Upstate region of South Carolina.

Artisphere's site will extend throughout the West End Historic District of Downtown Greenville, with visual artist booths along Main Street overlooking the new Falls Park on the Reedy. Falls Park includes the remarkable Liberty Bridge, a 380-foot pedestrian walkway, landscaped garden areas, scenic overlooks, picnic areas, the beautiful Reedy River with its impressive series of falls, and two outdoor amphitheatres that will be filled with cultural entertainment throughout the festival weekend. Within walking distance to The Peace Center for the Performing Arts, The S.C. Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities, Centre Stage-South Carolina, and the Warehouse Theatre, Falls Park in downtown Greenville provides a natural setting for the centerpiece of Artisphere.
