Artisphere Presents Digital Image Seminar For Artists

2009 Festival introduces on-line artist application process.

Greenville, SC Artisphere, the International Arts Festival of Greenville will present a “Digital Image Seminar for Artists” by photographer Larry Berman on Thursday, May 22 at 5pm at Metropolitan Arts Council (MAC), 16 Augusta Street. Berman a digital technology expert who works with artists to create high quality digital images, will teach artists how to digitize their own images for juried art shows, such as Artisphere, while giving artists an overview of the digital application process.

Artisphere will host the “Digital Image Seminar for Artists” in order to help those artists who are new to the digital application process. Beginning with the 2009 festival, Artisphere will utilize the Zapplication digital application process to accept artist submissions. Applications for Artisphere 2009 will be available beginning July 9, 2008 and are due on or before October 16, 2008.

Artisphere Executive Director Kerry Murphy comments that “this process will help Artisphere compete with other well-known and well-respected festivals for top notch artist applicants.” “Anything we can do to make the application process easier for artists bodes well for the festival in terms of the number of submissions and the quality of work.”

The “Digital Image Seminar for Artists” is free and open to the public. To reserve your space contact Liz Rundorff, Artisphere Program Director at 271-9355 or liz@greenvillearts.com.
